Sock monkeys...

... are awesome.

We all knew that. But who knew they could be such an effective tool for ministry?

Check out this Sock Monkey ministry website.

[Random, unrelated thought for the weekend: Jon Stewart's interview with Tony Blair on last night's Daily Show episode showed two things: Blair's deftness as a politician and Stewart's utter lack of interviewing skills.]

I enjoyed the interview, but had the distinct feeling that there was SO much more Tony Blair needed (and wanted) to say to more fully answer the questions...but Stewart had to insert humorous/cynical jabs at the war so the conversation didn't get that far. They probably didn't have enough time for a REAL discussion of the issues...I guess that happens on CSPAN, right?

Yeah, that's probably right. But it was interesting just how much time Stewart did devote to the interview. It was about twice as long as a typical interview on the Daily Show. I guess that's what you do when you manage to land a former prime minister.

There is a religion reporter for Oklahoma City's alternative weekly, The Oklahoma Gazette. (Greg Horton). He is fantastic. I believe he had a ministry or publication at one time called The Sock Monkey.

Andrew, I was ASTOUNDED to hear an intelligent person defending the war on terror in a way that was quite thoughtful and - frankly - persuasive. Not so anything about my thoughts on the matter too definitively, but Tony Blair was impressive.

And, yes, John Stewart was being a bit of an ass.
